club-moto support van
To provide a truly 'fully guided and supported tour' and to enhance the hassle-free experience, on our tours we are accompanied by our club-moto support van with many benefits*.
Luggage...
We'll carry your luggage on our van, so you can ride luggage-free. A real bonus on many of the roads we use... saving you the chore of loading and unloading your bike.
Luggage options...
- ride with your luggage to the departure port/tunnel. If there's time we may be able to put your luggage in our van prior to embarkation. Failing that we can do so following disembarkation from the ferry/train. Our van will take it from then until we arrive back in the UK.
- ship/deliver it to us (club-moto offices) prior to the tour departure date, we will transport it and ship/deliver it to you on our return (this may involve a small additional charge).
- please note that in either case you will need to bring an overnight bag on your bike for overnight ferry crossings. Luggage will not be unloaded from the van whilst on the ferry.
Our van usually takes a more direct route than the tour and should be at our hotel before we arrive. Our driver will check in for you, put your luggage in your room (where possible), and be on hand to order your first (and always very welcome) drink which is 'on' club-moto.
Our van may not be at our lunch stops on some days. On these days, you will need to bring whatever you feel you may need for the day, such as water, waterproofs, additional layers, etc.
Please note whilst in Spain, you are required to present your passport to reception on arrival at our hotel.
Motorcycle breakdown/accident...
As detailed in our T&Cs club-moto is not responsible for any breakdowns or accidents you may have during a tour, or recovery/repatriation of either you, and/or your pillion or your motorcycle.
However, in such an unfortunate event we will provide initial assistance where possible and to this end, the van has the facility to carry a motorcycle and has limited spare seats.
As the club-moto van generally takes a more direct route to ensure it's earlier arrival at our hotel, if roadside assistance can be offered there may be some delay. Such assistance would inevitably delay the arrival of the van to our hotel.
On arrival on the road, our club-moto tail rider will also offer assistance if possible. The tail rider will carry some basic essentials for assistance.
* Please note on some of our short French tours our van is not included, although that may be revised subject to numbers.
