Day 01 The journey begins ... Off to France
0 miles

We’ll meet at Portsmouth Harbour to get the overnight ferry to St. Malo. While we wait to board we can introduce ourselves and start to get to know each other. Once the bikes are safely parked and strapped down and we’ve found our cabins, we’ll meet up and have a chat about our rider policy (included in your info pack when you book) over a drink while we wave farewell to the UK.

Get yourself some supper and a good nights’ rest ready for an early start in France.

Day 02 Welcome to France The fun begins
280 miles

After breakfast on the ferry, we’ll disembark and head into France - the fun begins!

Our route takes us through rural areas of France with endless green fields, deep forests, stately chateaux and small villages. Passing through the Loire valley, we’ll cross the Loire via the imposing bridge at Langeais. We’ll ride through La Brenne Nature Park that’s dotted with lakes, to arrive at Argenton-sur-Creuse where many of the houses with galleries and balustrades overhanging the riverbank are 15th-century.

Tonight we'll be staying at an 18th-century manor overlooking the river valley. The hotel has an outside pool, garden and terrace. The beautiful rooms are in classic French design with antique furniture.

Join our exclusive group BBQ in the garden.

Day 03 Rural France… and stunning roads
282 miles

We’ll travel through the wild and unspoilt Millevaches Nature Park in the foothills of the Massif Central and cross the Dordogne river as we head south. Windy and invigorating roads alongside rivers, gorges and tree-covered valleys are our backdrop as we head to the midi-Pyrenees. Our route takes us over the spectacular Millau Viaduct and then underneath for a photo stop before we stop for the night.

We’ll stay in a 12th century chateau with panoramic views of the viaduct and the Tarn valley. The chateau has an outside heated pool and an elegant garden. The hotel has a tasting menu and there are restaurants nearby. There is also the option of going into the centre of Millau with its old picturesque streets.

Day 04 Pyrenees… Olé
221 miles

Today we’ll head south where the roads start to become more twisty as we climb steadily through captivating countryside and into Spain. Experience fantastic riding along near-empty roads through the high mountains and deep valleys of the magnificent Pyrenees. The roads and scale of the views confirm we’ve arrived in Spain – truly one of the best countries for motorcycling.

Puigcerda in La Cerdanya region which spans France and Spain is our home for tonight. This lively town has dramatic views down to the valley floor and up to the mountain peaks. The large lake surrounded by black poplars is artificial and was built in the 13th century.

While we’re in Spain we’ll be setting off and finishing a bit later as most Spanish restaurants open around 8.30pm.

Day 05 Head for the coast… and relax
128 miles

Be prepared for a spectacular start to the day… thrilling roads that weave their way over the elevated ridges and through the deep chasms of the mountains. As we head towards the sea we make good use of the smooth tarmac through small villages and farmland. Our final stretch is 23km of stunning bendy roads alongside the coastline.

Our ‘home’ for the next three nights is on the Costa Brava, a beautiful area with gorgeous beaches and charming seaside towns.

Day 06 Rest day… chill out
0 miles

Enjoy a chill out day! There are beaches and coves for swimming and sunbathing, old buildings to visit, narrow and interesting streets to explore or shop, eat and people watch. There are plenty of restaurants for sampling the local Catalan cuisine.

If chilling is not for you why not ride to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to see the MotoGP qualifying? Weekend tickets are included – your choice!

If you’d like to spend some time riding around the stunning area we can provide routes and may well join you.

Day 07 MotoGP day!! Time for the races ....
0 miles

The Spanish are motorcycling mad – the atmosphere will be electric at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya! For those coming to the races, we’ll set off after breakfast for a group ride to the circuit to revel in a day of MotoGP racing.

We’ll enjoy a group evening meal later at the hotel and relive our exciting day at the races.

Day 08 Back to the mountains… twists and turns
244 miles

After the excitement of the MotoGP weekend we’ll get back in the saddle to ride north on a route that offers the perfect combination – superb roads and great scenery. Leaving the coast behind us our route wraps round the mountains and runs alongside lakes and rivers. Twisting and turning as we climb, passing stone villages and churches perched high above. This awesome route takes us through the Serra del Cadi, the impressive mountainous border with Andorra, with its soaring peaks, dramatic rock formations and deep wooded valleys.

Tonight we’ll stay in these breathtaking mountains for a well-earned rest after our exhilarating days ride.

Day 09 Full circle… into France and back again
221 miles

Today we’ll take a ride that loops us through both the Spanish and French Pyrenees, returning to our hotel at the end of the day. Enjoy the great roads through thick deciduous forests, past waterfalls and glacial lakes. Our route on the twisty, technical tarmac encompasses lush valleys and rocky pinnacles. We’ll stop to get our breath back, admire the views and take some impressive photos. This is a ride you’ll remember!

* this ride is optional, you can stay at the hotel and enjoy the amenities if you prefer.

We’ll return to our hotel for the night and relive a fantastic day over a drink.

Day 10 Spanish roads… they just keep giving!
193 miles

Staying in the mountains, our journey takes us through sweeping bends and fast corners that snake through the stunning, sparse countryside. Patchwork fields, small hamlets, cliffs, rock arches and canyons are the backdrop to this great day of riding. Spanish roads just keep giving!

Our destination this evening is Estella, with a charming historic centre and splendid monuments and buildings. Our stylish, modern hotel on the riverbank was formerly a flour mill.

We’ll enjoy a group evening meal later for our final night in Spain.

Day 11 Our final day in Spain… off to the ferry
122 miles

Our final day in Spain… setting off from Estella we’ll travel through the stunning Basque country with its wonderful colours and tapestry of woods and forests riding the flowing bends that are perfect for two wheels.
