We’ll meet at Portsmouth Harbour to get the overnight ferry to Brittany. While we wait to board we can introduce ourselves and start to get to know each other. Once the bikes are safely parked and strapped down and we’ve found our cabins, we’ll meet up and have a chat about how our guided tours work, our rider policy (included in your info pack when you book) and answer any questions you may have over a drink while we wave goodbye to the UK.

Get yourself some supper and a good nights’ rest ready for an early start in France.

Day 02 Good morning France Welcome to rural roads
275 miles

After breakfast on the ferry, we’ll disembark and head into France – the fun begins!

Our route takes us through rural areas of France with endless green fields, deep forests, stately chateaux and small villages. Passing through the Loire valley, we’ll cross the Loire via the imposing bridge at Langeais. We’ll ride through La Brenne Nature Park that’s dotted with lakes, we arrive at Argenton-sur-Creuse where many of the houses with galleries and balustrades overhanging the riverbank are 15th-century.

Tonight we'll be staying in an 18th-century manor overlooking the river valley. The hotel has an outside pool, garden and terrace. The beautiful rooms are in classic French design with antique furniture.

Join our exclusive group BBQ in the garden.

Day 03 Rural France Magnificent D-roads
249 miles

After enjoying breakfast at our lovely manor, we’ll head through the Limousin area, one of the most rural and least populated areas of France. The rolling hills and verdant river valleys are as enjoyable as the wonderful roads. Heading through the Dordogne takes us further south, passing houses built of honey-coloured stone, and green, rich meadows.

Our stop for tonight is at a chateau near Gabarret, deep in the French countryside. This beautiful building is in the heart of Gascony, home of Armagnac and The Three Musketeers. Enjoy the excellent restaurant and peaceful surroundings.

Day 04 The Pyrenees Stunning roads and scenery
234 miles

The roads start to become more twisty, climbing steadily through the captivating countryside of the Pyrenees Atlantique, Pays Basque country and into Spain. Fantastic riding along near-empty roads through the high mountains and deep valleys of the magnificent Pyrenees is certainly an experience. The roads and scale of the views confirm we’ve arrived in Spain – truly one of the best countries for motorcycling.

We’ll be staying in Jaca, ‘The Pearl of The Pyrenees’ for two nights. Set in the high Aragonese mountains, this attractive old town, once the capital of Aragon, is well known for its food and lively atmosphere.

While we’re in Spain we’ll be setting off and finishing a bit later as most Spanish restaurants open around 8.30pm.

A day off to explore Jaca with its imposing 11th century cathedral with Romanesque and Gothic frescoes and the 16th century pentagonal military citadel, one of only two in Europe.

A few miles further into the mountains there is the magnificent Canfranc International railway station. At 3,921 feet and unused for over 50 years, although delapidated, it’s now a tourist attraction.

We'll meet up for a group dinner this evening.

Following rivers through valleys surrounded by towering peaks and climbing up past cascading waterfalls will take your breath away. These mountains are truly beautiful – an absolute ‘playground’ for bikers. Parts of the day will include the classic and iconic N260 – well known to many motorcyclists.

Puigcerda in La Cerdanya region which spans France and Spain is our home for tonight. This lively town has dramatic views down to the valley floor and up to the mountain peaks. The large lake surrounded by black poplars is artificial and was built in the 13th century.
